Yummy Ice Cream Recipes including Soda Pop Ice Cream

Summertime is here and you know what that means.....Homemade Ice Cream. So bring out your Ice Cream recipes and see if any of yours are like the ones we found below. I'm especially excited to try the Soda Pop Ice Cream.  It's time to add a lot of really good homemade ice cream recipes to your book.

(Gotta See) Tips For Making the "PERFECT" Caramel Apple

I learned something today from a blog called  "Bakingdom"  It's how to make the perfect caramel apple. Now, without giving away all their secrets, I've posted some of their photos below.  


First choose whatever kind of apple is your favorite.  They selected the granny smith apple because it's tartness will compliment the sweet caramel. 


And here is the Cinnamon Caramel Apple Pumpkin that I found on their site.  Love how they wrapped the ribbon around the stick to make it look like a stem.  What's on it that looks like ribbing and changes it from a ordinary caramel apple into a pumpkin?  Check out the post to find out. Bakingdom 


So I managed to not give away the secret to a perfect caramel apple but I know you want to know what the two tips are so head on over to Bakingdom  to read about these two FABULOUS tips.  I have neither heard or read anything like it before.  Okay, I'll give you a hint:  I hate it when all the caramel slips off the apple and ends up on the wax paper, so disappointing---the tips will help with this.

Great Before and After Photos for DIY Furniture-Get Inspired!

We've found some great Before and After projects that you might be interested in.  Use your imagination to take something from "UGLY" to "BEAUTIFUL"  Garage sales and thrift shops are great places to find your these future fabulous pieces of furniture. A little sanding, a little paint, paper or upholstery will make all the difference in the furniture you can put in your home at really great prices.  Then there's the "pride" factor when you look at what you've accomplished.  Be sure to take a before and after photo so you can show off all your creativity and hard work!
